Our Story: Every Child is an Artist

Inspired by Pablo Picasso’s famous words, BrainArt was established in April 2019 with a single mission: to provide a platform where art is not just a hobby, but a structured journey of discovery. Founded by Pavitra and Vikram, our studio in HSR Layout, Bangalore, was born out of a passion to bridge the gap between “drawing” and “understanding.”

Our Philosophy: Beyond the Canvas

At BrainArt, we believe that everyone, regardless of age or background, has the potential to express themselves artistically. We don’t just teach techniques; we cultivate visual literacy. Our curriculum is built on the belief that art is a powerful tool for cognitive development, emotional expression, and critical thinking. From a 3yrs old first sensory brushstroke to a high schooler’s professional design portfolio, we nurture creativity at every stage.

    A Research-Driven Curriculum

    We don’t believe in "random" art. Our classes are rooted in a deep understanding of Art History, the Elements of Design, and Visual Culture. Students learn the 'Why' behind the 'How.'

    Mentorship for Every Age

    Little Explorers (3.5–5 yrs): Messy play and sensory art that builds fine motor skills. Young Creators (6–13 yrs): Building strong foundations in drawing, painting, and mixed media. Future Designers (14+ yrs): Structured portfolio development for NID, NIFT, UCEED, and B.Arch entrance exams. Adult Learners: A space for hobbyists to reconnect with their creative selves through traditional and contemporary art forms.

    We are proud to offer Inclusive Art Classes for Special Needs Children. We provide a compassionate, supportive environment tailored to children with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties, using art as a bridge to confidence.

Pavithra

Pavithra

Founder | Instructional coordinator
A professional artist & an art teacher, has graduated from the renowned Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (CKP) in 2006 and holds a Post Graduate degree in Special Needs Education, started her career as an art teacher with the prestigious Neev School (Bangalore). Enthusiastic to make learning a fun process by encouraging the individual to explore their innate artistic expression and also, to foster and discover their creativity . With an international teaching experience as an art teacher for a decade at “Beaconhouse School, Muscat”.
Her range of teaching experience which spread of a wide age range , gave her an insight in developing specialised art modules for children and also to identify their strengths and potentials and thereby enabling them to discover the world of colors.

An inspired and a self motivated artist, her motto is to create & experiment with various kinds of art forms, art movements, techniques & enable art as a medium of expression of thoughts for children.

Vikram

Co-Founder
Graduated from Bangalore University. 16 years' experience in information technology. I worked in various IT sectors as an admin and consultant. My areas of expertise are networks and web security. Interest in art history & design motivated me to join hands with Pavithra (founder) with the vision of solving the challenges in visual arts learning in the correct way. Our aim was to provide the right platform for children and adults to explore the world of visual art & art appreciation, which is the ability to view art throughout history, cultures, and the people & art development in the specific periods. In BrainArt, I take care of operations and marketing. I do take a few classes on digital arts and lectures on a few topics related to art history.
