What is an Art and Design Foundation Course?

Our Art and design foundation course is designed to introduce and explore various visual arts, including photography, drawing, painting, and sculpture. These courses are primarily intended for students who want an overview of what they can study within the realm of art and design at tertiary level. For example, if you’re unsure whether you’d like to pursue art as a career or just enjoy art as a hobby, studying art foundations could help you make up your mind. Art foundations typically don’t require any prior knowledge or experience with art—they are suitable for both beginners and more experienced artists alike.

Who can join Foundation Course for?

The course is designed for students who are want to enrol in Art colleges, CUET (Fine Art), NIFT or currently enrolled at universities and other higher education institutions. It’s also ideal for people who want to study art or design, but lack sufficient previous experience or qualifications to enter full-time degree courses straight away. And, because it’s university accredited, it’s also perfect for current students looking to brush up on their skills in preparation for formal exams. For example, you could use it as an opportunity to develop your portfolio with some early examples of your work before taking more advanced qualifications later on.
